“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build up, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a TIME TO DANCE.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
UB celebrates and embraces the ministry of dance, and the UB Liturgical Dance Ministry personifies this expression of worship with exuberance and excellence. We incorporate various dance genres which include: ballet, modern, contemporary and African. This is an adult ministry; however, we include dancers of all ages in special events and on major holidays. This ministry embodies the scripture, “Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
We endeavor to use the Word of God, the power of movement, and passion for the art of dance to evangelize the lost, as well as edify and encourage the people of God.
To be a world-class, family-oriented dance ministry known for its standard of performance excellence and non-compromising personal excellence with an understanding that the person behind the gift is the key element that creates a pure vessel for worship.
The Liturgical Dance Ministry requires that you are a member of UB and are able to move freely and are in good physical condition to endure rigorous weekly rehearsals and ministering during multiple Sunday services when necessary.
To become involved, you may e-mail your interest and questions to dance@ubame.org.
