Congregational Care is available to UB families in seasons of sorrow, sickness and setbacks. These ministries range from hospital and shut-in visits, to cancer and HIV support groups to funeral arrangements for a love one. We also take joy in ministering to those who are grieving, joining them in their immediate sorrow and following up with them weeks, and sometimes months, after their loss.
Read MoreThe Bereavement Ministry is designed to offer support once the funeral or memorial service has been planned, by offering a resolution; or a plant; or food for the repast. Additionally, the Bereavement Ministry helps coordinate and plan funerals/memorial services at UB. The ministry locates resources that are needed to plan a service, such as: funeral homes, obituary writing, florist, catering, et cetera. The ministry also assists with secures facility, as well as any UB ministry that is needed for the services. Select resources and amenities are for active UB members only.
Read MoreThe ministry checks on and communicates with the sick and shut-in of the church through visitation, calls and cards. On a monthly basis, the ministry offers the ability for the sick and shut-in to still participate in the sacrament of Communion.
